The architecture for the new forums is up.  I was going to wait until after Flipside, but I’m about to start a new job and probably won’t have time to do this level of work.

This style of discussion board is much better in my opinion.  Besides some back-end benefits (ease of updating and plug-in management) there are user benefits as well.  For example, there is an activity feed that tracks all recent posts so you don’t have to jump around from forum to forum clicking links.  Profile fields are highly customizable and there are quite a few add-ons I haven’t explored yet.

I will wait until post-Flipside to fully implement this, because there are a couple significant and pesky bugs still lurking around.  Continue using the old forums for the time being.

Photo galleries are up on the sidebar (over there ——->).  A more prominent link to the forums is on the header bar (up there ^^^).  Click away to your heart’s content.  In the not too distant future, the forums will be getting a makeover similar to this one.

Are up.  They never really left, actually.  I’ll be updating the software and reorganizing them when I have time; yesterday was crazy and today suffered as a result.  For now, you can access them here.
