Summer Solstice Ceremony (Wand/Staff Enchantment) v1.0

Overview:
This rite is designed as a celebration of the summer solstice and elemental fire.  The participants utilize a wand or staff, and "charge" it throughout the course of the ceremony.  The ritual follows a more simple format than the prior two rites and emphasizes the themes of performance, creativity, and conflict.  There is currently no synthetic myth incorporated into the rite.  The end result is an object that symbolizes the qualities of fire and has intense personal meaning to the participant.

Number of Participants:  9

Materials:
9 wands/staves
9 tiki torches
Enough flash paper for all participants
Supplies for the individual performances (varies by participant)
6 Lighters (or more)
Glow sticks/necklaces (for circling at night)
Sage (for lighting)
3 Candles or hand torches (red/orange/white/yellow/green)
Water (for extinguishing)

Roles:
Speaker - the narrator and leader of the rite.

Upcoming Changes:
*  A synthetic myth may be integrated into this rite over time.  I am approaching it from the opposite end of the spectrum as the Winter and Spring rites, making it very simple to begin with and then fleshing it out afterward.
*  Future versions of this rite will likely include diagrams for the more complicated sequences.
*  As is the case with the other rites, all speaking will eventually be conducted in a magickal language, even though the current rite has very little narration.
*  The next incarnation of the rite will involve more uses and interactivity for the wands, such as the inscribing of symbols in the air.  When the synthetic myth is integrated they will be integral to that as well.
